Web Server - Repositories

The Kontender OK includes the widely use Apache HTTP Server. The Apache HTTP Server, commonly referred to simply as Apache, is a web server notable for playing a key role in the initial growth of the World Wide Web. Apache was the first viable alternative to the Netscape Communications Corporation Web Server, and has since evolved to rival other Unix-based web servers in terms of functionality and performance. Since April 1996 Apache has been the most popular HTTP server on the World Wide Web; as of March 2007 Apache served 58% of all the websites in the world.

Web Content Repository

Allows the system administrator to easily deliver different and independent web content (web sites) to each domain in the system and have the ability to use and reuse the same content framework, not the data, for other Domains in the system. The Kontender OK introduces the Web Content Repository concept.

The Web Content Repository is a special area in the Kontender OK, where popular Web Content applications are stored. This web content can be used to provide independent websites for any domain or sub-domain in the system. Also, the Kontender OK allows the administrator to easily “upload” their own to the Web Content Repository.

Content Management System

Document Management System (KnowledgeTree DMS)
A full-featured, web-based, Document Management System, where the common types of files can be indexed; therefore, becoming searchable. PDFs, Word Documents and OpenOffice Documents, can be indexed by the KnowledgeTree DMS. This allows for easy file retrieval later.
